When you elect a PPO plan, medical and prescription copays do not count toward the UNS annual deductible/coinsurance max out-of-pocket limits. However, medical copays, prescriptions copays, deductible, and coinsurance do count toward the Federal ACA annual out-of-pocket maximum.
With the HDHP, you are responsible for paying the full cost of most prescription drugs until you satisfy the annual deductible each year. After you meet the deductible, you are responsible for 20% of the retail cost until you reach the Federal Cost Share Limit. Certain preventive medications are covered at 100% for HDHP participants. *Express Scripts Mail-Order Pharmacy does not dispense prescriptions written for less than a 35-day supply for a majority of medications. Members who want to fill prescriptions written for a less than 35-day supply, rather than moving to an extended day supply, will be required to fill at an in-network retail pharmacy.
