Family & Medical Leave
If you need time away from work for a qualifying family or medical reason, FMLA may provide job-protected leave. Leave requests are handled through The Hartford.
FMLA may apply if you:
Have a serious health condition
Need to care for an eligible family member with a serious health condition
Welcome a new child through birth, adoption, or foster care
Need leave for certain military family situations
Your pay while on leave depends on the reason for your leave and the benefits available to you.
New parent support
Paid Parental Leave
UNS offers up to 6 weeks of paid parental leave for child-bonding due to birth, adoption or foster care.
Income protection
Short Term Disability
