Your medical plan includes prescription drug coverage through Express Scripts. You can fill your prescriptions at an in-network retail pharmacy or save money by using the Express Scripts Mail Order Pharmacy to buy a 90-day supply at a reduced price.
With a PPO plan, your prescription copays do not count toward your annual deductible and coinsurance out-of-pocket maximum. However, they do count toward the federal Affordable Care Act (ACA) out-of-pocket maximum.
With the HDHP, you’ll pay the full cost of most prescription drugs until you meet your annual deductible. Then, you’ll pay 20% of the cost until you reach the annual ACA out-of-pocket maximum.
